In 30 days the stock market will be zero'd out anyway and nobody will be able to afford to use the boat...I do, however, have a stock of TP on the boat that might be useful for barter...Hmmm.
Come to think of it, if Mr. Trump is correct, I have a reasonable stock of quinine on the boat, and a bottle or two of that stuff you dilute it with...might not be too bad...?
We hit the boat up for the onboard stock of TP and came up with about a dozen rolls and 3 bottles of hand sanitizer. In 30 days the stock market will be zero'd out anyway and nobody will be able to afford to use the boat...I do, however, have a stock of TP on the boat that might be useful for barter...Hmmm.
I too found wipes, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper on the boat when I was out fishing (social distancing) yesterday. We hit the boat up for the onboard stock of TP and came up with about a dozen rolls and 3 bottles of hand sanitizer.
DING DING DING, we have a winner!
And if the border stays closed, we might even go up to Desolation Sound in the SUMMER.
None, none of that is going to happen any time soon. Sorry.Trying to get my head around getting to CA, sea trial, getting back to US (Blaine?) closing on boat there, then getting home via SJI.

Don't know for other places but for me the whole marina is locked until third week of April at the soonest. Not sure if I will even be able to go there to work on the boat as planned anytime soon. Anyway I have plenty of other things to do!

We are locked out of our boat (home) in Port Whitby Marina.
Sorry about that, at least I have enough to keep me busy at home for the next 10 years. We are locked out of our boat (home) in Port Whitby Marina.
If you don't have a self-isolation plan, or are not able to arrange adequate support, or don't have a location to self-isolate, you will be escorted to a provincial accommodation where you can safely complete your 14-day self-isolation
Alan T, it's highly unlikely that deal can be made to happen while this episode is in progress, but if there's one possibility it would be getting the boat delivered to Pt Roberts and entrust the sea trial to the captain, go there via charter flight and take possession. You might look up and phone the marina office and see what their status is. But, alas... every government official you will deal with is going to have a strong view that this just doesn't need to be done right now...
Considering running at night, best if you can plan to do it in the portion of the lunar cycle just before and up to the lowest high tides when there's the least stuff in the water, and avoid if at all possible anytime near the highest highs when there's the most. And only go at a speed you're comfortable hitting a log at. I never run at night because of my boat's shallow draft.
It's certainly quiet around here...
