My tanks have hand holes with plates but they are centered. I could remove the plates, cut for the senders and slightly bevel weld the seats to reach the low point of the tank. Have to ask if floats will work tilted, but it's plenty slippery in there!

Unhappy to tell you your opinion of westerbeke is universal. They SUCK.

This is just an FYI-many campers have a similar problem of fit. There is a company here in USA that makes retro fit low wattage use compressors and puts them in old defunct RV refrigerators so the old box is useable

My comment on Havana was that they keep everything running w/o going "new or nothing".

Took apart the bad solenoid. That tab does in fact actuate a large crossbar that completes the 12v juice to starter motor. Exactly the same as a solenoid with a round plate completing the circuit referred to earlier. So leaving the former solenoid in has a solenoid for high amps sending a signal...
