So we purchased a 1985 Heritage East with a Mercedes Nanni engine. Can anyone identify this transmission. The survey did not, but stated it was in working order. The ID plate is missing! Thanks for your help!
Probably a Borg Warner Velvet Drive 71C. But if the engine is 175hp it might be a 72C. Common parts such as oil seals and clutch plates are readily available.

Definitely Borg Warner 72C.

When you service it don't forget to remove and clean the filter, refill with ATF fluid.
