Family member purchased a 77 Marine Trader 34. The water heater had been taken out. Can someone tell me where it was located? Also, what alternatives have people used in place of a water heater?

Thank You

I have the same vessel, my water heater is located just to starboard when opening the forward engine room hatch, basically under the helm station. I just have what looks like a standard household 6 gallon unit.

On my MT 38 the hotwater tank sits forward port side in engine compartment.
Used this product in my boat this summer. Both electric and engine heat. I have same set up in my van for past 3 years. Seems ok.
The bypass kit is to aid in winterizing and the mixer valve keeps it from getting too hot. Scalding water does not seem an issue in the boat but in the van is necessary to be safe.
