Anyone running the Vatrer Lifepo4 batteries? On the 'marine how to' website Rod Collins recommends them for budget friendly options.
I am specifically looking at this one, but is a self-heating an absolute must have? I only plan on running a small fridge and maybe charge a tablet/phone run through an 800w inverter although a friend offered me a 3000 watt inverter that I will take a look at, but I am really leaning toward the Victron 800 watt.
I think for now I will just charge it when on shore power with a charger specific for Lifepo4 batteries.
We are just weekend warriors and the occasional anchor out.

If looking at the specs of a 12v refer and it claims rated current to be 9 amps how does that convert over to amp hr. usage per day? If it is 9 amps then it would be safe to say that my alternator would have no problem keeping it running while underway? I only have one battery bank of two...
