Staples, who likes them?

I have them on my boat and really like them. We made slip on covers for them too. Great for when the kids are there. You still need to watch them but makes it a lot harder for them just to fall in.

Taking the covers off or just removing the staples makes for a great time swimming or just a great view.

The past owner made a table that seat on two staples that are 90 degrees of each other. Make it good to place the BBQ on.

We put a "staple" (sailboat binnacle guard) onto the RIB's locker deck with through bolts and washer fenders. It's great because swim platform or dock we are good to go. Will probably need to strengthen the underside of deck further as the RIB locker deck was not meant for a load of that kind, though we use it only for balance.

I glassed in a 6”x12” piece of G10 fiberglass under each side of our staple. Got it from Jamestown Distributers.

They moved our boat out of the barn today. We are going to launch Friday. Here is a couple of photos of the staple.
