The R-27 with trailer and some fuel and water aboard would be around 10k lbs give or take. Most 3/4 ton pickups (2500 / 250) could easily tow it. Even the R-29 command bridge model could be towed with most 2500/250 series with proper towing options.

Another option to the Ranger is the Rosborough 246. It might be a little more spartan, but low maint, and very seaworthy.

Absolutely. I have towed 20K pounds with my then F350 dually turbo diesel. The Rangers would be a piece of cake.
