FYI, CHB is a brand from Chung Hwa, one of many builders in Taiwan in the 80's. No better, no worse than most of the other trawlers from Taiwan. By the mid-80's they were starting to figure things out. A twin-engine 35 is rather unusual, and the Yanmars may be original. They are much smaller than the standard Ford Lehman and Perkins motors used in most trawlers of that vintage.
By the mid 80's, most Taiwan builders had molds for the superstructure, so rotten plywood is less of an issue. Window leaks were still common. Does the boat have teak decks? If it does, expect some soft coring in the decks from water getting down the screwholes that fasten the decking. $$$.
CHB was better about sealing limber holes in the stringers than many builders, but that's certainly something your surveyor will want to check. Where are you located? I'm a retired surveyor, and may be able to refer you to someone.
Is the boat listed on Yachtworld? I don't find any 1985 CHB's. There's an '85 Chien Hwa 35 with twin Lehmans in Nova Scotia, asking $76K, that's the closest I could find.
