Looking for anyone that has any insight on these - good cat's/displacement, but are they sturdy enough for cruising the Caribbean?

Belated welcome to TF.

Here's an older thread asking same question. Looks like the original poster purchased the boat (Greenwich CT).

Guessing you're asking about this one for sale on Yachtworld for $51k. It all comes down to condition - that could be a screaming deal if boat is in good condition, or overpriced. No surprises there.....

Certainly a nice loop boat and would get to the Bahamas comfortably. As far as the "Caribbean," depends on what you mean. Would not be high on my list of boats to island hop to Aruba if that's the intent. But my guess is that if you manage to get a good start and make it to the Bahamas, you'll be able to answer the question for yourself. There's a lot to see and do between Maine and there.

Good luck -

Thank you very much Peter. Appreciate the information! Hoping to get all the way over to the Yucatan, so we're going to need to choose wisely!

It's about 400nms from Florida to Isla Mujeres. It's a bit tricky due to how the Gulfstream eddies into the Gulf of Mexico meaning you cross it twice.

This forum is very good at answering questions. If I can suggest, laying out your criteria, intended usage, and budget might garner some interesting suggestions from the collective bigger brain.
