Retrieving the dingy, another shenanigan.

Tonight's sunset from Jewell island, Maine

Nice flat sea all day
Yes it was but you definitely need a telephoto lens. It's very hard to see those objects on the water in the first two photos. :)blush:)

Yes, it's in the to buy list, which right now is far larger than the money list.

Just really wanted to show the flat sea.

I apologize for the "crude" reference to your camera. The hidden message in my post was really aimed at the bikini, not the objects on the water.:hide:

I should have gotten it too. Like the picture from Italy with no boat.
In this case I just forgot the wife retrieving the dingy. But she was impressed that I had the foresight to tie its line to a rock.

The calm before the storm.

"The Basin Cove"

Maine is so nice, 75 degrees while the rest of the east coast swelters.

And of course, with my Weber, I am totally self sufficient. Well sorta

Another enigma.

I have noticed numerous times that while anchored my boat will face 90 degrees off all the other boats.

Tonight, I am anchored, near a.Kk48 and he and I are facing west and the sailboats and the nordhavn are facing south.

An enigma.

And sunset too

Isn't the Basin great?

All boats will face into a strong wind or current at anchor. But if there isn't much of either, each boat will respond differently. Depth and size of keel, wetted surface area, windage and even just eddies of wind or current, may all cause boats to face in different directions. I've noticed power boats and sail boats often swing in opposite directions.
