Fuel consumption meter on CAT 3306?

I did two more runs for the same distance.
At 1500 rpm the hourly consumption comes out about 3.3-3.5 gallons.
At 1800 rpm the consumption is around 4.5-4.6 gallons.
Again, calm water, slack tide, light wind, protected inland waters.
Of course, this is not very accurate measurement, but good enough for me to plan my future long range trips.

Probably not. I could not find the exact model/year chart with data, yet.

How are you measuring how much fuel you are consuming?

I put a certain gallons of fuel into my pickup tank. I have a cheap flow meter plumbed into my fuel transfer manifold. I also have fuel bladders on board, where I can transfer the fuel to.
Once I return from sailing, I pump all the fuel from the pickup tank to one of the bladders and back. This gives me two measurements on the leftover fuel amount. Not scientific, but close to reality.

You may want to get to the engine tag numbers, and then look them up at CAT online to ID the correct model engine.
