Florida Cruising Just Got Interesting

A 7-foot-python sneaked onto a sailboat near Indian Key and it wasn’t discovered until the crew docked on the other side of the state, according to the Marco Island Police Department.

Out of an abundance of caution the vessel was removed from the marina.

So, how did that go for the boat owners? Were they unceremoniously tossed out of the marina? Seems like a bit of an over-reaction to me, but maybe there's more to the story.

If you are in North Florida, don’t think you’re safe. An article in the paper also said that the pythons are moving north. Be afraid! Be very afraid!

On another note, iguanas are showing up in house toilets. Apparently they crawl down the vent pipe from the roof.
