diesel heater

I have a beautiful 1980 38’ Grand Mariner. It has a diesel heater that has never been used.
I contacted the manufacturer who sent me a parts manual but they don’t have an operations manual.
Does anyone have experience with the Eberspacher D4L or a digital operations manual?
