Boating forums in general are always tricky because most of the really salty and experienced members are usually older... meaning very stubborn and set in their ways.

Stubborn is a bad thing usually, but "set in their ways" may come from a lifetime of experience that most "newer" boaters may never have because they start late and have too many other hobbies/distractions than that love of the salt.

It's why they are "old" and still here to be "set in their ways." :socool:

What I find funny is a lot of part time boaters who swear by doing some things the same way every time or having set standards for many afloat "routines" are pretty foreign to me.

I often see the need to alter methods and "routines" to fit the circumstances. I find that a lifetime of hard experience gives one that perspective... more so than "set in their ways types" that have survived because they live drawing in the lines that work for them.

Me, I color outside the lines quite often when I know it's better than "limited" ways. :D
