Will be spending time cruising from Vancouver north, mainly Desolation Sound.

What’s the best internet service to use?

Is it necessary to go satellite?

Uses would be emails, downloading newspapers and news, and ideally streaming video if cost effective.

Thanks

There is a tower at sarah point and you can pretty much get lte to prideaux haven
It gets sketchy in the Bays...like roscoe etc
Squirrel cove has the best service
All providers

Thank you. I have ATT now but was hearing good things about T Mobile.

Yeah. I would get decent cell service in Roscoe at high tide. Nothing at low tide.

Satellite data is clunky and very expensive. You can do well with cell service as long as you know you won’t always be connected. You won’t be off grid for long at a time if you keep moving.

Found that with my i8 I rarely got good service, but my wife's Samsung Galaxy could connect in many of the bays near to the Sara Point cell towers. Both on Telus. Time of day, ie no of users, made a difference, as did height of tide.
