Back in the water tomorrow. The gel-coat guy did a great job. You really have to look to find the repair.
Next thing is loading up ASD for the trip north. Still have to test the water maker, change filters and oil. Started putting my Canadian boarder package together.View attachment 116237View attachment 116238

It is Hoser for Canadian.
Not to be confused with Hoosiers which is American.

I think it is his detailed plan, telling the Canadian Border guys that he will only stop for diesel, won't take the dog ashore to pee, and will take a direct route through BC waters, next stop Ketchican.
Pretty much so. I will also submit a float plan.I think it is his detailed plan, telling the Canadian Border guys that he will only stop for diesel, won't take the dog ashore to pee, and will take a direct route through BC waters, next stop Ketchican.

Question: Sidney is a CBSA station. I've been to the main marina several years back. It was a small dock with a phone. Is this the place or is there another station just north? There was US pleasure boat passing north yesterday.
Marine Traffic reported it as having left from VanIsle (marina Sydney abbreviation?)

Interesting. In reading the CBSA website, it states if you are going to "pass through" and not stop then reporting in to CBSA is not mandatory.US fish boats are on the move through BC. Interesting to note, the last three I’ve seen, have followed exactly the same US course, moving over the border to the Victoria anchorage/pilot station and back over the line. Makes me wonder if there has been a change to the “continuous passage without reporting” variance.
If so, I wonder what else might be different this year.

Just found it. COVID 10 Open ports of entry, #2I do not think this was the station but I do not know if they have different
arrangements due to the pandemic.
Van Isle Marina is north of Sidney
