What a crazy winter. Well, let's see, I got the subfloor torn out, secured the frame underneath. Cut new wood to fit in over the frame and got it matched up neatly. Found the floor covering I want to use, and got the ring pulls for the hatch access to the engine area.
During that time, I had access to the engine room finally. I replaced the batteries on both sides, checked all the fluids and belts. Got the throttle and shift cables freed up. Removed the rot from the walls and am in the process of putting in a new core, and insulating. After that I'll rebed the windows and finish the interior walls with frp.
It has been exceptionally stormy up here this winter. I did turn the boat around in the stall so the wind hits from the bow instead of the stern. Just about got the windlass hooked up too. Today I was able to replace the lcd screen in the tachometer, and it is showing 1850 hours. Pretty happy with that, all in all the engine seems in good shape.
Our house flooded so that has taken a bit of time from my boat projects. I added a couple before and after photos of the floor project.
Fair seas!
