I am posting this for a friend/dock mate whom we cruised with to Glacier Bay, Alaska and back last Summer.
The Fales/Willard hulls were built on the East Coast. This is Hull #4, built by Tillotson-Pearson under license, (May have been the last one under license) and before mold alteration occurred. Located in Port Orchard, Washington State.
Take a Tour: Patience has a “down” cabin, somewhat like a sailboat. Step down into the main cabin from the aft cockpit. To port is the galley with a built in refrigerator box aft, a single sink with adjacent counter, a two burner propane stove w/oven and drawers below and adjacent. Propane tanks (3 each, 4 gallon fiberglass tanks) are stored on fly bridge.
Opposite the galley on the starboard is a convertible dinette that provides a near Queen berth. (Cushions are 1 year old.) There is a shelf above the dinette for convenient storage of oft used items.
The entire main cabin has been refinished in cedar planking and aromatic cedar liners on the bulkheads.
The deck is redwood with molded non-skid fiberglass underneath. There are two access ports in the deck to reach the stuffing box below the companionway and one forward to reach one of two pillow bearings.
Step up into the pilot station. To port is a fold up chart table with a storage slot behind and a cabinet below. There is a solid fuel Dickinson heater adjacent (Works great.). The head is to starboard in its own space.
The engine main access is below the pilot station deck, accessible by lifting a deck hatch. There is also access aft from next to the head doorway and forward in the forepeak cabin (See photos.)
The forepeak is accessed by a doorway w/closable door. There are two pilot berths in typical fashion w/6’+ length. Custom made mattresses by Hand Made Mattress od Santa Anna, CA are exceptionally comfortable.
The Owner personally cruised the San Francisco Bay, North up the West Coast to Puget Sound on a coastal voyage, cruised COVID Summer in Puget Sound and went North to Glacier Bay, AK and back, the second summer in the PNW. The boat is very capable and these boats have done epic long cruises.
Some specifics include:
Hull type: Displacement
Length: 30' registered
Max speed: 8 kts. Normal cruise: 5.4 kts @ 0.58 gph.
Patience is offered as a private listing only. Please no brokers!
A Heritage 15 foot rowing craft (100 pounds) with sliding seat and carbon fiber oars by Little River Marine is available for an additional $4500. (See photos.)
