120 Lehman lift pump failure

If you have the correct pump I suspect that the spacer is missing. With the pump removed rotate the engine so that the cam is at the lowest point and mark the crank pulley for future reference (to aid bleeding). Replace the pump over the studs and press it up to seat against the block. Remove the pump and rotate the engine so that the cam is at the highest point. Replace the pump over the studs and again ensure that you can easily press the pump snugly up to the block against the spring pressure of the pump. I suspect that you will find that you are unable to, indicating that the spacer is missing. Sorry to say but there is no way that the force from the spring combined with 5 psi from the diaphragm is enough to shear the arm off the pump, if correctly assembled the cam is only providing the movement and the only load that the arm experience is that from the pump. The cam is only able to provide the additional load if there is no clearance ie. no spacer or wrong pump. It’s going to be fun fishing those parts out.
