Multiple Refers vs Full Size Refer

Refers Recently installed a NovaCool RFU 9000. Have been using it for about two months. So far it has proved to be a great refrigerator. Quiet, freezer actually freezes stuff. Have notice a decrease in amp hour usage as well while at anchor. Made in Canada. Lots of support videos. I replaced...

    Nobeltec - GPS question

First of all, not sure what a PGN is. Also do not have multiple devices. Moving map shows the boat exactly where it is. Position is correct on the chart ie it matches what the GPS says. Time is correct. In other words, everything is functioning correctly, just getting INV GPS. Just talked to...

    Nobeltec - GPS question

I am running Nobeltec VNS Max Pro. I have it linked to a Furuno GP-32 Navigator. This system has worked fine for many years. Now, I am getting INV GPS against a yellow background. Ran the self diagnosis on the Furuno and am receiving up to 9 satalites. Checked the port on the computer...I can...

    Towing a small fishing skiff?

Towing tender I tow an 18 foot fibreglass tender with a 125 Merc on it. Have had no trouble with this. If the weather gets heavy, we just stay at anchor. Just don’t forget it’s there if you need to back down suddenly. Getting your tow line off of your drive shaft can be tricky, and there is...

    Refrigerator woes.

Thanks, I have the manual with the cut out dimensions. Just needed to be sure that the height dimension included the black grill at the top. Otherwise no go. Just talked to Fisheries Supply in Seattle and they were good enough to measure one for me. Problem solved.

    Refrigerator woes.

Help!! My Norcold DE-728 has died. It lasted 35 years, so no complaints. In my search for a new refer, I have determined that a new Norcold DE-0061/EV0061 will work. However, after reviewing the cutout dimensions, I can not tell if the height dimension includes the black grill at the top in...

    Trash Compactor Blues

Compactor. Thanks for the replies. I will try the appliance store in Northern Cal. Unlike most cruisers we do not care to go from one marina to the next. We would rather be swinging on the hook. We have gone 5 weeks without visiting a dock. So the 30 lbs. of trash indeed gets in the way. Nice...

    Trash Compactor Blues

Hello, I am a new member of Trawler Forum. I have been cruising Alaskan and Canadian Waters on my 45' trawler for 16 years. Chartered on Prince William Sound for 12 years. My 25 year old trawler is a gem. We re-fitted her a few years ago and she is a joy to cruise on. Last fall my Broan 12"...
