    C Lectric, I slid the boom off of the linear winch, cleaned the metal shavings from the ram and the inside of the boom. I adjusted the position of the hydraulic ram a little closer to center. Then per the suggestion from the original manufacturer, greased the "cheek plates" and reassembled...

    I have a WC1000 that came with the boat. Somehow the nylon shims/spacers/bearing at the head of the ram went missing before I bought the boat. I discovered the problem when metal shavings started coming out. Disassembly revealed the nylon cheek plates on the hook end of the ram are missing...
