    Paradise Found?

We are new to Florida, presently in Stuart. Florida will be home now. We haven't seen much but have wonderful images/memories of Aqua blue, clear waters we occasioned upon in Miami and on the Gulf coast. We are looking to find home at a marina with mooring balls where we can also tie up at a...

    Florida Advice

We just arrived in Stuart, via AICW from Upper Eastern Shore on the Chesapeake. We are planning on crossing to the West Coast in April, and exploring that area thru June. We prefer anchoring out. In June we want to move the boat to a safe marina thru late September. We will not be on the boat...

    Lucky find on swim platform

Really a beautiful job Larry! I'm following this closely. We are headed South, just got in to Deltaville this afternoon. Very curious to see how you hinge the transom door. Regards Bob KASSIE Manatee #93

    Making the Jump!

We were facing the same issue...then came SANDY and solved our problem of what to keep. It was amazing how fast my 8th grade religion award went to becoming a floating piece of debris along with my 300+ record albums etc. Long story short, we don't miss any of it. I remember reading this same...

    Relaunch Coming!!

We have had our Manatee at Osprey Composites for the past two months having the bottom relaminated. Staying with friends in Canada has gotten old for everyone but we are so thankful. We are scheduled to be launched on the 9th and it can't come soon enough. KASSIE is our full time home and we...

    Air Floor Dink on Davits?

We do it all the time. Just leave stern lower. It can lose air over extended time and the boat will want to fold, especially if there is water. Ours hangs from the dinghy transom and bow towing rings.

New to us Manatee, we are learning systems. Not sure what RPM range is the best. I've been staying around 2800 @ 6+ in 2' chop. Bottom is dirty and will be hauled on the 8th, actually having bottom job at Osprey. Would love some feedback, maybe some photo advice from Healhustler. Regards Bob...

    New owners of a Manatee

Just wanted to again thank everyone for the warm welcome...God knows we could all use some warmth right now. 6 more inches of snow!!! forcasted. We've been on the boat now almost 2 months, it's been too cold to explore all the nooks and crannies of this beauty. Too cold to go outside for long...

    New owners of a Manatee

We are #93, built in 1990, last two stateroom made. We love the layout, we initially wanted single stateroom but with company and just having the extra spare room as an office is perfect. Will attach pictures when we are a bit less busy. Tough emptying out the sailboat, cleaning it and...

    New owners of a Manatee

Well, it is one week now that we are living aboard our new to us Manatee. We are spending the winter in Ego Alley, Annapolis. Our sailboat is one slip over as we swap out our possessions and ready her for sale. Very strange, mixed emotions, can't help but feel like our sailboat feels betrayed...
