Last November we faced a lot of flaking varnish on our Taiwan built Med Yacht. Loved the teak but there were not enough hours in our day to do it justice. Hired a crew to sand everything down and applied Semco clear teak sealer. Was less than impressed with the way it looked compared to a good coat of varnish ...... but it was uniform and the teak was protected.
Fast forward to yesterday when I had to 'refresh' the teak. Simple wipe-on of 2 coats and it's back to looking fresh again. No sanding involved - yes there IS a Santa Claus!
Wondered for a moment what I would do with all my free time now. Then I reminded myself - "oh yeah - it's a boat.."
Not affiliated - just glad I made the switch to decent looking teak and low maintenance!
