My boat has a 24 volt bow thruster.supplied by two agm lifeline batteries. I installed a new proMariner 24 volt charger.

Is this the original charger?

What kind of isolator? This is only connected to a twelve volt lead and nowhere near shore power.

Usually an isolator is connected to a charger and to 2 batteries and prevents one battery from discharging the other. Guessing this one is between your battery charger and the two 12 volt batteries.

It certainly look like an isolator, but the top mounted fuses and extra small wire make me wonder what exactly it’s doing. If the rest of the boat is 12 volt, it could be a device that separates the series connection for 12 volt charging of the individual batteries and reconnects them for thruster usage.

I agree that it is prob an isolator but it would be helpful to know how old your boat it.

Looks like a Newmar product from the color and heat fins but I couldn’t find it in their website.
