This just came in:
As predicted, our storm season is starting early this year and we are now watching Tropical Storm Cristobal. Currently over Mexico, Cristobal is forecasted to re-emerge over the southern Gulf of Mexico Friday and move northward over the central and northern Gulf of Mexico over the weekend. There is a risk of storm surge, heavy rainfall, and wind impacts beginning over the weekend along portions of the U.S. Gulf Coast from Texas to the Florida Panhandle.
We are implementing binding restrictions for the red shaded areas below effective at 10:00am EST today. I have attached the zip code listing as well as the map.
While it is too soon to determine the exact location and timing , we will continue to monitor the progress of Cristobal and provide updates when there are any changes.
Be safe out there!
