Hi everyone,

Is there anyone out there that has a VoLvo Penta TAMD 40 B that can show me with a pic ( if possible) where the line for the coolant overflow canister connects to the heat exchanger.

Thanks,

Bill

Typically the coolant overflow tank connects to a connection right at the coolant filler cap (radiator cap).

The cap has a double seal. At the pressure rating of the cap, say 7 psi, coolant pressure leaks past the first seal and runs by gravity into the overflow tank. When the engine cools and coolant contracts fluid in the overflow tank is sucked back into the system. Tank should be approximately the same level as the cap level but JUST lower than it.

You can probably go here and find parts schematic blowup for your TAMD 40 B under cooling system and exhaust system
