Well, as I sit here and type I have just finished a couple of weeks pretty full on work.
I was pretty nervous of going down this course, so did a lot of research about the pros and cons before venturing forth. This included checking the published infection rates, the qualifications of the specialists, the type of x-rays they use as well as talking to people from Oz who had been through the system.
I was blown away by the way the dental hospital/clinic was run . Seven stories of marble and glass, the operating theatres were immaculate, no doubt about it this was five star stuff.I had three separate planning meeting with various specialists to map out my treatment plan, no up selling just pretty detailed dental discussions and options.
I met a couple of American service personnel at the centre, on leave from Afghanistan, they were recommended by their doctor in the States.
So all up I'm pretty pleased that I have done this, and yes the cost differential is substantial, in my case about $20,000.
Oh, and the local girls up the road at the massage parlour have got to know me pretty well, they do wonderful foot massages, all above the board so to speak, and they ply me with herbal tea. They are all very sweet.
Sorry for the hijack, back to the boat show.
