Strange Heart Freedom 25 power numbers

Perhaps someone has seen this before. I have a Xantrex Heart Freedom 25 dating probably around 2008. Lately while charging in bulk or absorption modes it draws 120V 25 amps whether it is charging the batteries at 10 amp or 40 amp (24 volts). This does not make sense to me. This means sometimes 3000 watt input for 240 watt output. Where is the power going? And why does input not drop when output drops? I have monitored the charger and it get warm but not hot and seems normal to me. Anyone seen this? Thanks for any ideas.

So either one of your monitoring numbers is wrong or you are making a ton of heat. No other possibility in this time space dimension.
