That is actually a pretty good price for a somewhat used Seapiper. The only boat I can very approximately equate it to is the Mainship Pilot 34. If they still made them then (and they don't) a 2019 Pilot 34 would sell for more than $175,000 today.

I bet the seller paid $100K more for that boat new.

AND, this SeaPiper comes with 4 rolls of TP and a generator.

So many reasons to sell it..... Handling, space, too small in the beam.
Hey, the guy, for whatever the reason, determined it was 'just not right' for him so he is willing to take a loss than to pour more money into something that cannot work.

I agree! Nice boat, brand new. I really like these boats but consider them day boats. A lot of boat for the money in my opinion

Gee, didn't get enough chances to slag Seapiper's in the other thread?

You know, there are people who have as many, or maybe even more reasons, not to like your boat :socool:

What's not to like about my boat other than ......???
IMO, I have overcome and increased storage with the exception of that daymn small hanging closet. CHUCKLE

Seriously, I know there is a place in the market for the SeaPiper and I wish the company great success.
I think, properly decked out, it could be a great loop boat. The owner added generator and that is a big step towards making it a loop boat.

MurrayM, every time I have commented on the SeaPiper, I have always included many positive comments too. Always, I have wished the company great success.

You don't know the story of why they are being sold. There are many reasons to sell a boat, any boat. I know the reason but can not comment. Let's just say it's not any of the above for either one of them.

In my mind, the on board generator is a REAL plus and the other customizations and extra fuel tanks and good suite of electronics are also a real plus too. It is a very well equipped boat.
Yes, so many reasons to sell any boat. I hope the seller is happy the sale and looking for his next boat.
Let's face it, the design of any boat is not going to satisfy everyone.
His boat found a new home and I hope the new owner is very happy.
When I sell my boat, I expect people to criticize the tar out of my boat but, I hope the new owner will be very happy with all my improvements.

Or the truth - age, covid and the resulting health issues made them unable to use it.

The open area amidships is scary if you're doing long passages. What if you take a massive wave over? Then you're depending on it all to drain quickly in the stern?

I don't get the narrow beam either. Who would wanna tow a 35 footer? It'd be nice in the 11 - 12 foot range beamwise.
