we soon consider giving up the city life and daily office grind with hopes of purchasing a reasonably sized vessel for cruising to the Caribbean, Mexico and the loop.

originally, thought of a sailing vessel but now researching Trawlers and came across this site

Welcome. What boat models are you considering? You could do what you want in anything between about 25-60 foot. Ideally for me a 38-50 foot trawler would satisfy most of the requirements. Budget?
