Crusty Chief
Guru
After some 20K nautical miles, 6+ years and many port of calls we have sold Pairadice.
We started our journey back in early 2015 where we found Pairadice in Portland Oregon. She had very low hours on her and had been basically a dock queen. We spent a year upgrading and repairing her in preparing her for cruising.
2016 we attended our first Selene rendezvous before cruising the inside passage through BC to Kitimat before turning around and returning to Portland some 7 months later.
2017 we attended our second Selene rendezvous before cruising through BC again on our way to SE Alaska. We again turned around and headed south once again returning to Portland 7 month later.
2018 we cruised the Columbia and Snake river from Portland to Idaho and back.
2019-2020 we headed south along the west coast into the Sea of Cortez, MX for almost 10 months.
2020-2021 we departed the Sea of Cortez in September to continue south along the west coast of Mexico and south on the west coast of Central America to the Panama Canal. We transited the canal in April of 2021 before continuing to Florida where she arrived late May and finally docking her in South Carolina mid June. Another 10 month journey.
We decided to put her up for sale and with the help of Jeff Merrill and Rob Piwowarczyk of JMYS she was sold to a very nice Canadian couple from BC, closing just a few days ago. She was never actually listed for sale as the new owners had been looking for a Selene for some time.
We have throughly enjoyed our travels onboard Pairadice. She has been a safe and reliable home for us and hope the new caretakers continue to travel with her for many more years. The Trawler Forum community is a great bunch of people who have helped us many times over the years.
We have decided to take a break from cruising and focus on family and building a new home. The lifelong friends we have met or cruised with over the years, give us a new outlook on life and we plan to visit them often.
So with a little sadness we say good bye to the Cruising Community and wish you all Fair Winds and Following Seas!
Cheers!
