Hello,
A quick introduction.
I grew up with small dinghies and day motor boats. We moved up to a larger sailing boats mostly beneteau when I was in my twenties, my dad reckoned he'd done his fair
Share of family holidays in north wales in the rain and clouds so we loves our sailing to the south of France.
This was all some ago , my parents have got old have sold the boats and I'm wondering how to get back on the water.
I've been looking at trawlers, as my family likes the water but are not such keen sailors. The defever models look good, particularly the 49 pilot house, but this will stay dream for some time. Most of the boats for sale are in the States and I live in France, a Brit but i've been hère for a long time.
I came across a defever 44 for sale in the south of France which I'm going to take look at. Got to start somewhere. I've never seen one before.
Is there a registry of defever boats which could help me check on its history? If so what information would I need?
Thanks for any help.
