I am in Ensenada and will be heading south after Hurricane Season. I would like to have my tanks cleaned and fuel polished before heading down.

Does anyone know of a service that does that work near Ensenada. I cannot seem to find anyone. I hate to go back to San Diego for such a simple procedure.

Which marina are you in? I'm assuming you have asked around?

Can't you just run the fuel through your own racors?

The marine services options in Ensenada are very small, especially for recreational boats. There are a few hundred boats in Marina Coral, a few hundred more in Cruiseport. That's it. Likelihood of there being a specialist is not great, especially with backdrop of Mexican DIY culture that would use a hodge podge of 5-gal pails to offload fuel, then filter it back onto the boat. Less than ideal.

That said, the yard where I was at serviced commercial boats too and sometimes on/off loaded large quantities of fuel using a Goldenrod fuel filter for coarse filtration.

Fuel filtration in California isn't cheap. If I were in your shoes, I'd spend the money on having a decent polishing system installed.
