Has anyone troubleshooted a Lewmar 4 button wireless remote receiver?
The receiver is the black box that the transmiter (4 button fob) communicates with.

The receiver is supposed to have a green light when power is put to it but my receiver shows no light even though there is power going to the unit.

It's probably a throwaway and replace, but at $1200 or more Canadian I would like to have a look at it. I am going to take it home with me and bench test it and see if I can get the light to come on.

Your thoughts on this.

What does the remote control?

I assume it is controlling your Lewmar Windlass? If not easily repaired I would look into using a readily available generic windlass remote controller. Most likely you just have a 12v solenoid that switches the high current to the windlass. I think these controls cost <$50. But they are not likely as rugged nor waterproof so be observant of how they are mounted and be sure your windlass is properly fused to protect against an over current situation.
