Good day! I’ve got some dry rot on the Mama Jama. I’ve chopped out the old rotted wood down to good wood and have cut new hydrotek 3/8” plywood to patch the holes. I have a couple of questions:
1: I was planning on waterproofing the new panels prior to install. Penetrating epoxy is recommended, but I was curious if anyone had used one-part deck sealer for this interior-above-the-water-line application. It’s cheaper. I found this stuff:

2: Any particular product recommended for filling and fairing the seams between wood panels? I was thinking just that green glass-reinforced filler that you can get at auto parts stores or Home Depot.
3: Interior paint? I’m going to paint some interior walls white to accent the previously all-veneer interior and hide some of these repairs. Any recommendations for adequate but not obscene interior painting products?

Cheers!

Before the rebuild should be the repair.

"Dry Rot" is usually a sign of a small leak, fix that first.
