I'm GREZ, new owner of a 1983 34' Marine Trader Double Cabin. Single Ford Lehman. She goes, but is pretty much a refit project. I'm generally OK with the whole thing, but will be very thankful for the collective perspective and technical input this forum can offer along the way. Goal is to head out in early April on the Great Loop.
I've been lurking here for a couple of months and am happy to go public and join the group.
CHEERS!

Welcome aboard GREZ. Early April is a month too early to leave St Augustine. You will be in wind, rain, coats and hats within 200 miles.

Welcome to the Forum! Pictures, we must have PICTURES!

I, too, have a Marine Trader 34 DC in St. Augustine. I have been doing many upgrades and just brought it from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to
marineland Marina. It did the 3,000 mile trip very well. PM me if you'd like to grab a beer and discuss your project sometime. My boat has a Cummins 6BT, but the rest of the systems are probably similar. Best of luck. BTW, I may have some Erie canal charts, etc. you might like to see.
Bob
