I recently pulled a fully functioning W-H Autopilot from a 1986 Tollycraft that was kept undercover in freshwater. I attempted to pull everything out intact, including cables. It was removed simply as part of a full electronics package replacement. It was highly accurate and performed well in predicted log rallies, where maintaining heading accuracy matters.
I would expect this to be of interest to someone that is still operating this system and is looking for a good source of spare parts and replacements. The unit is in very good condition considering its age.
