I’m looking for any drawings, photos or personal experience with Art DeFever Designed paravanes from the 1970s to mid 80s.

I have a 1978 steel hull, aluminum house DeFever built in San Diego, the design is basically a stretched DF48. There were no paravanes or rigging on the boat when I bought it, and I have not found any of the previous owners(I bought it from an estate).

I found the original drawings in a box on the boat, there are “Flopper Stoppers outrigger poles” drawn in, the drawings show them mounted to the upper deck folded back when not in use. Where the original drawings show the poles mounted to the deck there is some sort of mount on the boats upper deck. But the mount doesn’t look strong enough in my opinion, 3x3 aluminum plate with 1 inch aluminum dowel, so I thought maybe the drawing “flopper Stopper poles” were meant to be used only while at anchor. I reached out to Dough Sharp, he said the drawings I had were the original from the DeFever office and the flopper stoppers were paravanes meant to be used while underway.

I will attach a picture and the drawings for reference. I’m confident the deck structure and the mast rigging are strong enough to support paravanes it is just the mount to the upper deck that I’m confused about.
