Coming along

Mark:*
That's one "salty" looking trawler. I love it!

Your bow roller looks like your going with a Bruce/Claw anchor and is that a stainless steel
anchor shield on the bow?

RE: Coming along

Mark, she absolutely looks great.* That mast gives her a serious, purposeful look.* I do think a steel boat makes a lot of sense-----Especially for a passagemaker.

RE: Coming along

Looking great!!!

RE: Coming along

Mark,She looks great!!!! *MORE PICS * ...MORE PICS.
She'd look right at home in SE Alaska.
She's going to look a bit too salty among all those icecreamboats down in the bay.

RE: Coming along

Mark, your boat is not a "wannabe" anything.* She is what she is!

RE: Coming along

The bow "ice plate" is SS.* I expect to see a lot of stares when the Coot is in the Bay/Delta.

RE: Coming along

Wow Mark she is looking fabulous!

RE: Coming along

No one else is going to ask.

*But I will.

I understand if you would rather not say.

??* $$$

SD*

RE: Coming along

The Cost is posted on Seahorse Marine's website.* Shipping cost, customs,*and user tax will be about the price of a high-end luxury car.

RE: Coming along

The Coot's anticipated completion is late March.

Yes, but I'm wondering how it would look/work with a Forfjord.

Man.**That is not bad at all for a new boat.

I'll take two.

No perhaps I'll wait and see how you like yours first

All kidding aside after watching her build from your first posts.
*I would say you have one nice boat for what you intend to use her for.
With the forward raked windows and the pilothouse she kind of reminds me of my boat.

Just nicer and new I wonder what it smells like. You know new car smell.

So you are planning on selling it?
I'll let you know in 15 to 20 years.* It is my second and last boat.

Is there a "rotten fish" odor spray so the boat's smell can be made consistent with it's appearance?

RE: Coming along

WOW!!! What a fine vessel!!!! And my estimates of a high end luxury car would be $250k That is quite a deal!!!

RE: Coming along

I Love it when a plan comes together!!

She looks like she will take good care of you guys.

Are you going to miss the trips to the Far East to check her out?

SWEET boat!* You are dropping a few Boat Units for that, and I congratulate you!

Woody

I like the water tight hatch leading to the chain locker in the forward collision bulkhead.* Very ship like...............Arctic Traveller

Maybe that hatch will keep out funky rode odors.

Mark: *Exceptional! *The boat, as is, provokes so many "Wannabee" threads for its design. *Right away, I want to use Coot to begin a whole new series of threads on Wannabee Hatches, Doors, and Masts. *You've got the real thing there, Mark, and you can laugh at anyone who uses the term "Wannabee" around it. *The Coot neither needs to emulate nor imitate. *And BTW, Skipperdude, maybe you've got a fish smell, but that boat is all meat.

Thanks, Bucky.* I consider*the*boat*a "dunnabee" rather than a "wannabee."

I didn't say that.
*I was just asking what a new boat smells like.

Mark said he wanted a rotten fish spray to maintain consistancy and appearance

Not sure what he ment by that.

I've decided to have the steadying sails colored a red/brown, brick-like (boxcar oxide red)*color.* This is one of few decisions I've made without you guys' input.

Congrats Mark! She really looks good. That yellow house top really works.

Thanks to you guys!* I originally thought of "international orange."* Yuck!* Oh, the waterline stripe is yellow, and the boat's name and home port on the stern will be too.
