I have a plan to circumnavigate the Caribbean in the not too distant future.
Starting from Fort Lauderdale, in late November, down through the Turks and Caicos, then down through the Leewards and the Windwards, to stop in Trinidad In February for the Carnival celebration.
After that to the ABC's and on to round the Yucatan Peninsula and to Columbia, Roatan Island, Panama, and on around to Texas and the Gulf coats and back to Florida.
The boat will be a Krogen, Nordhavn, Selele, or similar set up for long distance cruising.
I would like to hear from anyone that has done this trip, or parts of it, to give me some advice as to places to avoid, places to see and any other pertinent information.

Thank you in advance

Wow! Can I come!

Same plan in the future, though probably to the ABCs skipping on the way down, then visiting those on the way back.

Places to avoid? Venezuela!

Just might run into you. We will be coming from the West this winter into the lower Caribbean and at some point continue North to Florida. All depends on how far we get before looking for a hurricane hole for the next season.

Best of luck.
