We're leaving the Chesapeake at the end of July to cruise north to Maine, maybe Nova Scotia. Anybody have an itinerary? Looking to anchor and marina along the way.
Grab a Waterway Guide Northern edition to get started and oriented It's pretty hard to go wrong just exploring on your own. I personally don't think you have time to make Nova Scotia before the weather gets funky, but no matter there are years worth of cruising grounds in the meantime. There have been lots of thread here and on Cruisers on this region. Have you ever been north of the Chesapeake before? If so, where?
There are so many possibilities. A lot of what would make sense also depends on what you plan to do at each stop? Go ashore and experience various ports or would you just want nice places to stop overnight? Maine alone must have 40-50 great ports to explore.
Thanks all. Port exploring is primary goal. Know we can't hit it all so just looking for that representative few. Probably only chance to get that far north. Loop next year and some travel abroad after that.
