Ca. Emissions Certificate

I was hoping to see if anyone knows what the process is to get a emissions certificate for my 8’ boat with a Hangkai 4hp 4 stroke motor, that’s what CDMV said I needing to register the boat. Please Help Thxs?????

Sorry not familiar with the requirements. Have you approached the DMV and asked them?

Check with Hangkai. They are responsible for emissions certification for any engines sold in the US.

I agree with TT above. I did some searching, and various websites state that the CE documentation is available, but I couldn't find any place to actually view/download it. I'd write HangKai direct, and ask them for the documentation.
Best of luck in getting this sorted out.
Oh, and one other side note. The "boat" doesn't need the documentation, only the engine.

I am having the same issue. Attempted to register my boat at DMV in California and was told I need “Hang Tag” which should have came with the same engine you have. Have attempted to contact HangKai and have gotten no response. Hope you can share information if come across any. Thanks
