With all the deck house on the starboard side I wonder what they offset it with?
Always thought the USS Lexington (CV2) was sunk in the Battle of Coral Sea in 1942.
My bad. I googled "US Aircraft Carrier 2" and got the Lexington.Nice experience and great photos. USS Lexington. Where were those taken?
Was followed by CV-16, an Essex class carrier which ended her days as the school ship at Pensacola.
Lots of airplanes and a few bombs. Oh, and a nuclear reactor.
I think it is LPH 2, Iwo Jima
