We just returned from a cruise to Deerfield Beach, FL. We needed 2 overnight marina stays going and returning. We stayed at Melbourne Harbor Marina 2 nights. Dock Master Capt Phil guided us in on VHF and was ready to handle lines as we docked. Our power cable didn't reach the power pedestal so he provided an additional cable. Capt Phil stayed with us until all lines (to include a spring line) were secure and all systems were operating. He returned several times during the evening to ensure that all was well with Gone Coastal. On the return trip, Capt Phil again ensured that our needs were expertly addressed. Capt Phil's attention to detail is greatly appreciated and we would return to Melbourne Harbor Marina on future trips south.
The other 2 nights we stayed at Loblolly Marina in Hobe Sound. Capt Ray and Capt Art met us at the dock and arranged for a dock side tie which facilitated an easy docking and an early departure. We were given a tour of the marina and offers to use all the facilities. The dock masters very professionally ensured that all our overnight needs were met. Loblolly is another must stay for our future cruises on the Florida East Coast ICW.
You won't be disappointed staying at either of these marinas. Thanks Capts Phil, Ray, and Art.
