Nimble Nomad Trawler in Powerboats & Motorboats | eBay Motors
Vessel Overview
"HA' PENNY" is a classic example of the unique Nimble NOMAD trawlers. Spacious and accommodating for her length and well-equipped as a pocket trawler, she has room for a comfortable cruise for a few days or a few weeks. She offers an enclosed marine head with shower, galley with hideaway counter space, ample storage, and a convertible dinette/berth. She is powered by a 2010 fuel efficient 50 HP Honda outboard which has 25 hours running time, and her shallow draft allows for shallow water exploration and gunkholing. Also included is a 2001 Tandem axle Performance trailer in very good condition.
Description
The Nomad Trawler has a roomy pilothouse with 6-feet, 3-inches of headroom, six windows, and an entry door all creating a comfortable, airy interior. The Trawler is equipped with a convertible berth, a galley flat, a sink, and a helm & mate chairs forward. There is a chart table just aft of the helm seat. The main salon enjoys a full-size berth to starboard and a large dinette which easily converts to a double berth. The addition of the optional cockpit shower enhances her liveaboard facilities. Lots of opening ports and windows insure a bright and comfortable interior. The Nomad Trawler comes in two versions: the Special and Tropical. This Tropical model includes a midcabin hatch, four bronze opening ports, electric bilge pump, pressurized water system, cockpit shower, wood interior, cane interior doors, and cockpit coamings.

About this particular boat
Nimble Yachts are semi-custom and built around a proven Ted Brewer design that is then modified by the factory to suit the customer's intended use and specifications. This particular vessel was commissioned for the president of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) in 1994. Accordingly, she is overbuilt, even for a company that sells itself on superior build quality. Her hull was constructed using expensive biaxial fiberglass cloth when woven roving was standard. She also appears to carry more lead ballast in her keel than was standard, giving the already rigid structure even more stability in heavy weather. This Nomad is one-of-a-kind. Moving overseas forces sale.
