I'm planning on selling my boat. We moved to Wilmington NC and it is clearly not trawler waters here (mostly Carolina Skiffs and Sea Rays - zoom, zoom!), and we are not using it as much as we are maintaining our overpriced house (another story).
I have just had it hauled to fix an issue and paint the bottom. Engine is a single ADC (Lehman) 136N with a little over 5000 hours. It sips fuel and I bought it because it does not eat a hole in the fuel budget. In the picture, it shows full curtains, but I replaced with a new bimini only in 2013. Similar boats (Marine Trader 36 Sundeck 84-90 vintage) listing for $65K, but I need a bit of cosmetic shining and a new windlass. I am currently having maintenance done on engine and other mechanicals. Depending on work done and current market, I will set my price somewhere below $65K. The similar boats are a little more spiffy than mine - so I am gauging how far beneath $65K to go.
My plan is to move it to New Bern early August. Before I go broker, I am pretty flexible. After that, the broker will obviously require their cut and price accordingly. Though flexible, I can be insulted. Over this week, I will post more pics. Once the boatyard work is done, I will be in a position to move/show. In no hurry today, but in a month I will be gearing up in earnest for selling.
PM me if seriously interested.
