After two years of owning my beautiful 1984 Monk 36 (hull #36) Carrie Ellen, I am offering her for sale to the trawler community. She is my dream boat but I do not use her enough due to my addiction to wing foiling and want to pass her on to someone who would use and enjoy her.
This could be a great boat for someone in the California SF Bay Area.
I am offering Carrie Ellen for $67,000 for a quick sale. I also own the covered slip at Glen Cove Marina, Vallejo Ca. which can be purchased with the boat.
Please see my SF craigslist add for a detailed list and pictures

She’s been kept in a covered berth the entire 39 years of her life. No water intrusion, no direct sun exposure, she is beautiful.
I am the third owner the previous owner had her for 36 years in fresh water. She was maintained by a knowledgeable mechanic for over 30 years with an open checkbook. After a haul out bottom paint and survey, I’ve kept her in a covered berth with an Armor Hull dock liner which prevents outside water to the hull.
Carrie Ellen has approximately 2900 hours on her Isuzu 6BD1 engine. She starts right up every time and runs strong. Several oil analysis show no issues.
Carrie Ellen has both bow and stern Dock Star thrusters which make docking stress free. The thrusters are wonderful in tight and windy situations and the communication head sets are a marriage saver.
Carrie Ellen does not have a generator. The inside cushions are in good shape but could use an update along with the curtains. The water heater works well but there is some rust at the base. The Norcold refrigerator works well but has a chugging sound while running. The auto pilot works intermittently. Older depth gages work but are dated. She comes with a new uninstalled plotter / sonar unit. I use two chart plotters for navigation.
Please PM me with questions etc. Thanks, Ted
