For Sale: 2000 Mainship 390 single cat 300hp

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be selling my 2000 Mainship 390. I thought I would offer it here before I go looking for a broker. It was last surveyed September 2014, which is readily available. single Cat 3116 with 1100 hours, sitting in a slip in Eliot Maine. Price is $95,000...

    Need a Mainship education

Mostly good I purchased a 2000 MS 390 a little over a year ago. We love the layout, full shower, flybridge, stairs, single engine access. It is a cat 3116 which is the one with the bad rep. I say after all my research, forget about that. The bad ones all failed years ago. My only negative is...

    Domestic Plumbing - 5/8" fittings?

I took a different approach on mine. Not better but I will share for an added choice. I unscrewed the fittings directly off the water heater, which left me two female threaded fittings. Home Depot sells a short 1/2 inch plastic pipe with threads on both ends with the sprinkler stuff that screwed...

my 390T is new to me about a year with single cat 3116. similar findings, also same water leaks for me in the flybridge seating tubs..strange arrangement. when it leaks for me it drips out of the electrical outlet under the stairs, I had a hard time grasping the low speed maneuvering around...

    390T and NY canals

Thanks I agree, and will get an accurate measurement, but it's book height is 18'8" so I doubt it will go under a 15' bridge.

    390T and NY canals

Ah, so now I understand. Hudson to Erie to Oswego to Lake Ontario has the height. Continuing west on Erie has the restriction, and continuing up Hudson to Champlain has the restriction. I couldn't figure out how some people said yes and others said no. Thanks again for the clarification.

No, it is not hinged. So I worry about weight and wire length, etc

    390T and NY canals

I am doing some research ahead of travelling from Maine to the Hudson and up into the canals either into great lakes or St Lawrence possibly next summer. I have read about low bridge heights and have a Mainship 390T. How big a deal is it to unscrew the screws holding the radar mast and laying it...

    Mainship 390 with cat 3126

Not intending to hijack this thread but I am curious about what oil you cat 3116 owners use. I understand the straight 30 weight requirement, but some say only cat Saeo and others say rotella t1 is fine.

    Mainship 430 lighting question

I am picking up my new to me Mainship 390 in Portsmouth RI and bringing it home to Eliot, ME on the Piscataqua river. I need some suggestions as to stopping points along the way so I don't wear out my wife on the first trip.

    Wanted: 91 sabreline 34 flybridge

I am looking to move from sailboat to trawler and saw a link for a Sabreline 34 flybridge in Maine for $78k. I was reading up and saw that the boat has been listed for a long time and I was looking for feedback if there is any about it before I go to see it.
