West Marine nearby? Most locations have a section of wire, crimps and a crimping too. You buy the wire you need and crimps, then use the crimping tool. You usually have to do the crimps yourself.

I have that same windlass on my Grand Banks. Call IMTRA @ 508-995-7000. They handle Lofrans windless parts. Ask for Jim Thomas, their head Lofrans guru. He gave me a ton of tips on how to work on mine, especially things not to do! Nice guy.

Look up Kevin Silver. Pretty sure he's on this site. You can also search for him on the Grand Banks Owners Facebook page. He bought a bunch of GB parts a year or so ago and is selling them off. I bought 4 chrome plated lazarrette hinges from him a few months ago. He might have bronze.

BUY THAT SNAP REMOVAL TOOL! Best 20 bucks you'll ever spend!!!! Use SS fasteners. Sailrite is a great source. If you're really serious, get the Hoover Pres-N-Snap tool. A must have tool if you're doing snap work. I like Starbrite Zipper Lube the best of the lube types. Easy to apply and a tube...

I added soft starts on my A/C units some years back and made it much easier on my genset. Well worth doing even if you do the other suggestions.
