    1984 Marine Trader LaBelle

We have a `81 Labelle that we purchased last September. WE love it even tho I have had to do a lot of work on it due to non-use. We had the hardtop enclosed this past January and installed a sliding hatch to the flybridge so its now completely enclosed. We just got back from a ten day trip to...

    New trawler(maybe) owner here

What year of Labelles are you looking at? Keep in mind that not all Labelles are Marine Traders. Over 30 Labelles were imported before Marine Trader went to Best Way and contracted with them to build the boats for them. This happened around 1983-86 approximately.

    First night

I`m on our boat every weekend and my wife joins me every other weekend. We both love sleeping on our trawler.. as we did on our Bayliner. There is just something about sleeping on a gently rocking trawler. It`s just "Right".

    Bringing her home Sunday

I`ve been enjoying getting used to the boat`s systems. Finding out what breakers control what, chasing water lines, replacing leaky faucets, new brass lamps in v-berth, new water filters, some new electrical outlets, and replacing those 12 volt outlets that look like an old 120 volt outlet. I...

    Bringing her home Sunday

Peter,, yes I know...The GPS we were using was set up for mph so for the trip it was just easier. I couldn't get the Raymarine gps to work at all, which was set up for knots, so we used my friends GPS and my IPhone. But it was still fun to watch the numbers vary with the currents. I remember...

    Bringing her home Sunday

Brought her down from Seattle to Olympia this past Sunday. Had sunshine all the way and smooth water mostly. Cruised at high 8`s mph and 2100 rpm. Hit 13.2 mph in the narrows since we were riding a flood tide. Volvos ran great.

You`re welcome. Thanks for doing most of the driving while I checked out the systems. It was fun finding out what circuit is being managed by what breaker, water systems, lights,,, etc,. Took most of the trip to figure everything out. Discovered I have a few things to fix but nothing major...

We are going to Seattle Sunday morning to bring it down to Swantown. Earlier plans included doing it Saturday but with the new weather front coming in late Friday nite with high winds we decided to postpone it a day. We initially looked at the boat in July 0f 2012 and fell in love with it...

    Bringing her home Sunday

Well, we sold our Bayliner and purchased a 43 foot LaBelle this week. It going to be a big step, going from a 32 footer to a 43 that is actually 47 LOA. My last two boats had twins, first one had mercs and the second had Hino`s so Ive handled twins before. I cruised our last one usually at 9...
